Another Dogwood Festival is in the history books. We hope everyone had a great weekend, and had a great time at the parade and the festival, despite the slight rain delay for live music on Saturday night.
With the combination of it being Dogwood Festival weekend and the City of Quincy celebrating it's 175th Anniversary as a charter city, there will be plenty of music to enjoy. The music will be flowing at the Washington Theatre and on Maine Street in Quincy.
There was a rousing kickoff for The City of Quincy’s 175th anniversary that even included the Quincy Senior High School’s Drum Corps who paraded around the Oakley-Lindsay Center. To celebrate the city’s 175th birthday, a committee, selected by Mayor Kyle Moore, has prepared a year long list of events.

American Business Women's Association (ABWA) Dogwood Ball will be held this Saturday, at the Elk’s Club in Quincy. The Dogwood Ball is part of this weekend's Dogwood Festival and has not been held since 2006.
As I write this, it's mostly sunny and 83 degrees on Wednesday afternoon.
