We are now 3 weeks and a day away from the home opener for the Quincy Gems. On May 31st, the Gems will open up their home season with a game against the Danville Dans at historic Q.U. Stadium. It will also be Y101 Night at the ballpark as well. The 5th Annual Guns-N-Hoses charity softball game will be played on Saturday, August 6 at 7 p.m. at the Clemens Field in Hannibal. The cost is $6 per ticket with 100% of ticket sales going to charities and scholarships. Tickets can be purchased at any fire station, the police station, or at the gate.

This summer's weather has been unusual in Hannibal. Above average rainfall, very mild temperatures, extremely hot temperatures ... the city's nearly seen it all over the past couple months. Because of excessive rain and even some flash flooding, the Hannibal Cavemen have worked extra hard to keep the field in playing condition, and the ballpark open to the public.
The 2015 Missouri vs. Illinois All-Star High School Baseball Game will be played on Saturday, July 11. The game will feature the top 48 senior baseball players in the area representing 25 different high schools on both sides of the Mississippi River.
