When my girls where small the one thing I always made sure was that the car seats where installed correctly. Any parent wants to mare sure of that. After being shut down for months, the Safe Kids Adams County car seat checks are coming back.

I am still on the fence about letting my girls go out and trick-or-treat this year, but the Quincy Fire Department is giving families a safe way to enjoy Halloween.

The Central Fire Station in Quincy will be hosting Santa this evening for one of the most-anticipated Christmas events in town.

Once again this Halloween, the Quincy Fire Department will be hosting their annual "Drive-Through Trick or Treating" at the Central Fire Station at 906 Vermont Street.

Do you realize that 4 out of 5 child safety seats are used incorrectly?  According to the Adams County Health Department children under age two are especially at-risk for serious injury or death in a traffic crash if they ride forward-facing before they are ready.

Firefighter's Local #63 will be hosting the annual Christmas Open House and Fire Station Lighting Ceremony Friday night at the Central Fire Station in Quincy.

If you are planning to travel this holiday season this weekend is an opportunity to make sure your children's car seats are installed correctly.

The Quincy Fire Department will again be hosting a drive-through trick or treating night on Halloween evening at the Central Fire Station located at 906 Vermont in Quincy.

As a mom I, am always double checking my kiddos' car seats to make sure they're up to code. And while there are plenty of places to dispose of your old car seats, Kohl's in Quincy is giving you an extra incentive: money!

Safe Kids Adams County and the Illinois Department of Transportation’s Division of Traffic Safety are urging parents and caregivers to make sure their child safety seats are properly installed. Quincy will have certified technicians available to provide free hands-on child safety seat inspections and advice from 4 to 6 p.m. at Central Fire Station at 906 Vermont is Friday.
