It's good to be famous. I've heard that said many times. I've also heard it said that there is no such thing as bad publicity. That being said, I'm pretty sure that Missouri is not happy about the fact that it's becoming quite notorious for stealing cars. Lock those doors and hide your keys.

You could have given me 100 guesses and I never would have been able to name the most stolen vehicle in Missouri. By far it's an old truck that is most often lifted by auto thieves.

I used to be a car nut before I had kids. At that point, I became an admirer and not a doer. Did you know that there are some awesome vehicle modifications which are actually illegal in Missouri? I had no idea about some of these items and figured some of us enthusiasts (present and former) could use a refresher.

If I would have had to guess this, I would have gotten it completely wrong. Did you know that the worst city in Missouri for auto theft isn't Kansas City or St. Louis. It's not Springfield either. No, the most likely place to have your vehicle stolen also happens to be one of the worst in America.

You might remember a story about a Missouri woman who was awarded millions by a court when she claimed that an insurance company owed her because she received a STD while in her companion's car. The Missouri Supreme Court has now struck that ruling down.

It is possible that you might be a law-breaker and not even know it. Do you warm up your car without you in it? It's actually illegal, but there is an exception.

If there's a puddle of drool under this, I am the one to blame. It's not really my fault though. It's a St. Louis mansion I found that's filled with Lamborghinis. You might just drool, too.

I don't usually editorialize when I share news story, but I'll make an exception in this case. A pastor in Illinois gifted a woman in need a car and the state turns around and slams her with a tax bill. That just isn't right.

I am a big fan of the Cars movies, but I'd never attempt this. A Springfield, Missouri driver was just spotted driving backwards down a busy street and Mater would be impressed.
