Ameren Illinois is in the process of replacing nearly 50 year old natural gas lines in Quincy.

The Quincy Police Department is partnering with Ameren-Illinois on an upcoming project called "Brighten the Block".

The Quincy Salvation Army has assisted 16 people, helping them find permanent housing or maintaining their homes, thanks to a $5,000 grant from Ameren Illinois.

The grant funds were made available through the Ameren Cares program. The grant will support the a prevention/outreach program in the Quincy area.

Quincy Mayor Kyle A. Moore presented his annual State of the City Address at the noon meeting of the Quincy Exchange Club.

The Salvation Army has received a $5,000 grant from Ameren Illinois.

The City of Quincy has been selected, for the third consecutive year, by Ameren Illinois as a Most Progressive City.  Quincy was selected in part based on the significant energy savings achieved by local businesses and residents over the last year.  This marks the first time residential energy savings have been factored into the award selection.

Ameren Illinois has contributed $10,000 to the Trees for Tomorrow campaign to help the City of Quincy replace trees that were destroyed by a mid-July storm. Ameren Illinois made the announcement at a news conference this morning at Madison Park in Quincy.

Officials held their final news conference on storm damage recovery in Quincy Friday noon.
