Sudden Mass Layoff by Student Transportation Company in Missouri
One of the largest layoffs of the year has just reportedly happened in Missouri as a student transportation company has just notified the state they will dismiss more than 200.
I was notified of this brand new WARN notice by the state of Missouri Jobs site which just posted today. It states that Student Transportation Company has lost their contract in Boone County, Missouri and will be laying off 200 workers.
The official Student Transportation Company website says their organization includes a "family of drivers, dispatchers, mechanics, and managers". There's no word if this mass layoff in Missouri will be drivers, dispatchers, mechanics or all of the above.
There are no details if this layoff is immediate or will commence once the school year is complete. As this is a developing story, it will be updated once more information is shared about the nature of this mass layoff in Missouri.
