Over the weekend, many of us in Missouri noticed odd military plane activity over the state. By the time Sunday was over, we had confirmation that 6 stealth bombers from Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri were responsible for the bombing of nuclear sites in Iran. While there is now debate over how much damage was done to those Iranian sites, there's no doubt that the military families at Whiteman are thankful to have all of their pilots home safely now. History will eventually tell us what kind of difference those strikes in Iran did or didn't do. There is no doubt that seeing these stealth bombers landing will always remain very much a Missouri-only experience.
