St. Louis Zoo To Open In June
Finally, there are site seeing places opening for families, and I know we are all excited. However, with several of these fun family places opening there are a few restrictions.
The St. Louis Zoo announced that they will be reopening on June 13 to the public, and to help make sure that all guest, staff and animals stay safe there will be enhanced protocols and procedures. Reservations will need to be made to help limit guest attendance and the zoo who will need to practice social distancing. You can start making your reservations starting on June 8.
Zoo officials feel that with the amount of space they have to offer and outdoor experiences provide enough safety for guest that come to visit the zoo. However, more details are to come as opening date gets closer for specific details of zoo policies and protocols for guests. In the press release, it did mention that it will be a requirement for zoo staff and guest over 9 years old to wear mask/face coverings while visiting.
Guests with preexisting health conditions unable to wear a mask/face covering for medical reasons are exempt. Guests are allowed to remove or lower their masks/face coverings when practicing good social distancing of 6 feet or more when eating or drinking.
I don't know about you, but I am so excited to see the zoo open, it’s one of my families favorite places to visit. It might be a little different to keep everyone safe, and that is something we will all have to get used to.
