Turkey day in America is all about being with your family, friends, and loved ones, and making the most of your time together. If you want a different experience than just hanging around the living room stuffing yourselves with stuffing, why not take a Thanksgiving trip to St. Louis?

St. Louis was named one of the 32 Best Thanksgiving Towns on townandcountrymag.com. What makes the Lou a great Thanksgiving destination? On the site they say...

"(St. Louis) Missouri is known for its annual Ameren Thanks-for-Giving Parade. The family-friendly event has it all—music, giant balloons, and even a visit from Santa! Your kids are sure to love every moment of this lively parade."

Some of the other towns on the list include New York, Park City (Utah), Portsmouth (New Hampshire), and Lake Placid (New York) to see the entire list of Thanksgiving destinations click here!

I will say that I have never been to St. Louis for their Thanksgiving parade, but I have heard it is a blast from multiple people. Also, I living in Chicago for years and would go to the Thanksgiving day parade there, and it is always fun to start off the day seeing Santa.

I will add that it's messed up that Detroit isn't on this list, I want to spend a Thanksgiving in Detroit watching a Lions football game very badly, but maybe that's just me...
