I'm not sure you if caught Jenna Fisher (from The Office) on Jimmy Kimmel last night, but she had a slight wardrobe malfunction that led to a memorable interview during which Jenna was wearing just a towel. But what she said next definitely took me by surprise.

Right before Jenna was supposed to go on to talk about her new show, Splitting Up Together, the zipper on the outfit she planned to wear broke. So she wrapped herself in a towel and went on with the interview as planned, dress in hand.

Her explanation caused me to rewind my DVR to make sure I heard her correctly. Jenna, a St. Louis native, justified her revised wardrobe by casually mentioning "I'm a Missouri girl" and that "the show must go on."

I'm so sorry Jenna, but not all "Missouri Girls" wear towels in public. Do people now think that all Missouri girls wear towels to work, interviews, and out in public? If this is a new fashion trend, THIS Missouri girl hasn't yet heard of it.

In fact, this "Missouri Girl" only wears a towel in the comfort of my home and not on a national platform or in public. I don't know about the rest of you, but I was a little taken back by her comment (and offended a little too). I'd hate for Kimmel's viewers to think that Missouri is just filled with girls wearing towels everywhere.

Maybe I'm reading too much into this. I'll give her the benefit of the doubt. It was an off the cuff remark and maybe she was just trying to be funny. Props to her for turning an unfortunate situation into a funny one.
