It seems like every few months another store announces they'll be closing their doors. Well here's another one.

According to KHQA, Shopko will be closing all of their stores (and soon) after not being able to find a buyer for the company. Quincy will be starting their liquidation sale this summer (June 2019), so be looking for deals as everything must go. As of now, no closing date has been announced.

Shopko follows Payless Shoesource, K-Mart, Sears, and Bergner's that have left Quincy within the past year.  The location that Shopko is in is a great one and I'm hoping it doesn't stay vacant for long. I'm sure this will be another opportunity for the people of Quincy to push for a Target store, but to my knowledge, that remains a big longshot.

We will keep you updated as far as liquidation sales and a closing date once we have more information.
