The Girl Scouts are getting ready to kick off their cookie sales and announced a new cookie to the mix. Say hello to Adventurefuls. Describe as brownie-inspired cookies topped with caramel flavored crème with a hint of sea salt, and in my opinion, they sound delicious.

Adventurefuls are joined by Toast-Yay!, Thin Mints, Caramel deLites, Peanut Butter Patties, Peanut Butter Sandwich, Shortbread, Caramel Chocolate Chip, and Lemonades.  Cookie sales for Illinois start in February, so you have a head start in working out and feeling better before you buy those extra boxes of thin mints and put them in your freezer.

According to Influenster.com. Thin Mints are Illinois' favorite Girl Scout Cookie. Missouri's and Iowa's favorites are Caramel deLites/Samoas. I am not surprised by the Thin Mints (they are not my favorite), it seems though that I have to order a few boxes each year for the family. We love putting them in the freezer (which usually doesn't last long) and saving them for a rainy day.

To buy cookies from a local girl scout follow the Girl Scout of Central Illinois Facebook page, or find a scout at getyourgirlpower.org.
