Road Trip? A Neon Route 66 Park Opening in Missouri in Early May
If you are a lover of all things Route 66, you'll probably be interested to know that there's a new neon park that's opening in Missouri to celebrate that legendary road in early May.
A press release shared the good news about what is coming to Saint Robert, Missouri soon. It says the St. Robert Route 66 Neon Park will have its grand opening on Friday, May 9, 2025 at 7pm.
What is the St. Robert Route 66 Neon Park?
The city of Saint Robert, Missouri says it will include "restored, orphaned Route 66 neon signs in an outdoor park-like setting with corresponding story boards".
Where will this Route 66 park be located?
But, wait...isn't there a tank in that Missouri park?
Yes, there is and that tank won't be going anywhere. The city of Saint Robert, Missouri says "a a M-60 tank which will remain within the park, and be embellished to tell the story of the importance of Route 66 as a thoroughfare for transporting war material during WWII".
I don't know for sure, but it would not surprise me if this new Route 66 neon park is similar to a park in Oklahoma that also celebrates Route 66.
We can all find out on Friday, May 9 at 7pm when this new Missouri Route 66 park gets its christening.
