Everyone’s Moving to a Town 21 Minutes from Kansas City, Missouri
I don't understand many things in life and this is one of them. Everyone seems to be moving to a town that's only 21 minutes from Kansas City, Missouri and I can't for the life of me figure out why.
I saw this interesting new study shared by Move Buddha about the top city everyone wants to move to.
Notice there's a big blue dot near the Kansas City, Missouri area? That's Overland Park, Kansas - the city that everyone wants to move to? I know that many of my Kansas friends (OK, so there are really only one or two) that will say this is my anti-Kansas philosophies rearing their ugly heads. Perhaps, but I really don't despise (all of) Kansas. The people seem friendly as long as you don't run into any at a Jayhawk basketball game.
Get this. Overland Park, Kansas has the 21st highest move-in rate not just in Kansas, but in America. Assuming this doesn't count hostage situations, that's an impressive number.
I guess my question is why would you move to Overland Park, Kansas and not just live in the proper Kansas City area? Perhaps it's an effort to escape crime there which is a fair belief.
