The Quincy Police Department is taking currently applications for the fall 2020 Citizen Police Academy class.  This class, which is 10 weeks in length, begins on Wednesday, August 26, 2020.  The class time is from 6 to 9 p.m. with classes being held in the Quincy City Council Chambers at 730 Maine Street. There is NO CHARGE to attend!

During this class, participants will not only learn about all aspects of the Quincy Police Department, but will also have an opportunity to participate in hands on activities.  Some of the class topics include, Street Crimes Unit, DUI practical and mock vehicle stops, gangs, Emergency Response Team, crime scene investigation, and drug enforcement, just to name a few.  There is also the opportunity for class participants to do a ride along with a Q.P.D. officer on patrol.

To be eligible for the course, applicants must live in Quincy, work or go to school in Quincy, or own property in Quincy.  Applicants must also be at least 18 years of age.  Don’t miss this opportunity to learn more about your police department.
