Quincy YMCA Open Their Doors For Warming Center
With the freezing temperatures and snow we are having this week, the Quincy Family YMCA has open their doors to those who need a warming center this winter.
From now until February 15, the Quincy Family YMCA will be a warming center for those who need it. Guest should check in at the Welcome Desk when they arrive. The warming center will be opened Thursday and Friday from 5 am to 9 pm, Saturday from 7 am to 5 pm, and Sunday from 10 am - 2 pm.
Guest will also be provided with a warm beverage, water, snacks, and blankets. The YMCA will be following all COVID-19 guidelines, guest will be asked to wear a mask and stay six feet apart.
If you know of anyone that could benefit form this warming center, please let them know and if you yourself need to use this please do so. Sometimes, things happen heat goes out and you just need a few hours to stay warm while it gets fixed, this is perfect and for everyone.
Temps are going to get extremely low, even some days below 0, if you happen to see someone in need let them know there is a place to get food and warm for a few hours. For more information about the warming center, please call the Quincy Family YMCA at 222-9622, ext. 208.
