Quincy Woman Injured After Fall from Bayview Bridge Saturday

Quincy Police responded to a request to check the well being of a female walking on the Bayview Bridge just after 5:30 p.m. Saturday.

Officers observed the woman climb over the bridge railing and tried to talk her into coming back.

Officers say she was determined to jump from the bridge and started to hang from the ledge.

Officers were unsuccessful in their attempt to pull the woman back up and she fell into the river.

The woman floated to the shore, was pulled from the water and taken to Blessing Hospital, where she was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
