It is not every day that a Fire Department can announce the arrival of two new pieces of firefighting apparatus, but that is exacting what will be happening tomorrow in Quincy. In a news release from Fire Chief Joe Henning, the Quincy Fire Department will be dedicating two new fire trucks for the City of Quincy.   The dedication ceremony will take place at Central Fire Station at 9th and Vermont in Quincy Wednesday afternoon at 12:30 pm.

One of the new trucks will be assigned to the Engine #4 firehouse at 11th and Locust and the other will be assigned to the Engine 5 firehouse at 12th and Jackson. The last time the Quincy Fire Department received a new fire truck was in 2010.

The brief ceremony is open to the public to attend.
