Hannibal Parks and Recreation hosts its 4th annual Polar Plunge Saturday, February 22 at the Hannibal Marina.

The plunge itself starts at 2 p.m. Registration begins at noon. About 50 brave souls have already signed up to take a dip in the Mississippi. Mary Lynne Richards of Parks & Rec told us that there may be some that are waiting to see what the weather will be Saturday before they make the decision on whether or not to take the plunge. The only requirement to be a part of the polar plunge is that you need to contribute at least $75 to the local Special Olympics program.
