When you see a strange story, whether or not you believe it will likely depend on how much you trust the person telling it. For me, I tend to trust our military members more than regular people like me which is why I am very curious about strange lights a soldier saw recently over the Peoria, Illinois area.

One of the newest testimonies from the National UFO Reporting Center comes from Washington, Illinois. If you're not familiar with Washington, it's to the east of the Peoria area.

According to the NUFORC report, this encounter over Washington, Illinois happened during the early morning hours of June 15, 2026. The report says it was submitted by someone who has a military background. Here are their exact words:

"Saw a light traveling in a weird pattern, then absorbing two other lights, then all disappeared...I saw a light fly into two other lights and absorb them it flew there the clouds like nothing I've ever seen"

The report says the lights were huge and orange and moving "fast...very fast". There are 2 airports near Peoria. There's the General Wayne A. Downing Peoria International Airport and 45 miles away, there's the Central Illinois Regional Airport at Bloomington-Normal. Whenever there's something unidentified in the sky, you have to think conventional aircraft first. While both of those airports have air traffic that would be flying over or near Washington, Illinois, what type of known aircraft has large orange lights and move that quickly? When it comes to lights that move quickly and absorb other lights, I'm at a loss. The truth is out there as Mulder and Scully used to say.
