Photos, Screams: Ozark Howler Spotted in Missouri?
There have been stories passed down from generation to generation about a strange beast that haunts the woods of southern Missouri, but now there is some potential proof as a Missouri couple had an encounter with a strange creature and they captured photos and even recorded screams.
Sharon and Steve Robinson of Forsyth, Missouri recently told their story to The Travel Channel. Sharon says they were walking their bloodhound after dark when they heard a disturbing sound. Their neighbor also heard what they heard. It sounded like a scream and they recorded it.
That incident inspired the Robinsons to purchase a game camera which they placed on a tree in the area where they heard the screams. It didn't take long before that game camera recorded images of what looked like a strange creature hiding behind the trees.
They called in Michael Richardson who is an animal expert from a Missouri exotic animal safari to review their pictures and recordings. You can watch his reaction in The Travel Channel video share.
What did the Robinsons see and hear? I've watched them tell their story and I believe they are sincere and honest people. I don't doubt that they believe they've captured some of the first photos and records of the legendary Ozark Howler. With so many smartphones in the wild, it will be interesting if anyone else can corroborate what they witnessed to help bring clarity to this mysterious creature.
