The red flag warnings for Illinois this week are real with a volatile combination of weather factors that led to a massive field fire that jumped Interstate 74 and shut down traffic for a period of time. Video shows how out of control that blaze really was.

Great catch by Meteorologist Andrew Pritchard on YouTube who shared this video of a massive field fire near Ogden, Illinois.

WCIA is reporting that this field fire near Ogden was just one of many fires in Iroquois County, but that Interstate 74 is once again open for traffic.

The News Gazette says that the Ogden, Illinois field fire also shut down traffic on nearby I-150 for a period of time.

The high wind gusts and low humidity continue to be a dangerous combination which is why the National Weather Service is warning against any type of burning by non-professionals while these conditions persist.
