I've seen some strange weather developments in Missouri, but what may happen next week might take the cake. New forecasts now put the state in the danger zone for both tornadoes and snow early next week.

Let's begin with what NOAA's Storm Prediction Center is showing for what is expected to develop early Tuesday morning, March 4, 2025. They now place Missouri in the bullseye for possible severe storm development.

Don't think it's only the southern half of Missouri that could see severe storm development. Meteorologist Travis Roberts on YouTube noticed that computer models show precipitation canvasing nearly the entire state by 4pm Tuesday afternoon.

As that storm system crosses Missouri, rain will continue to pelt the state into Tuesday night by 10pm.

Then it could really get crazy across Missouri

By Wednesday morning, the back side of this low pressure will see temperatures drop bringing the chance for snow in some parts of Missouri.

Since I am not a meteorologist, I would HIGHLY recommend that you listen to Travis more technical explanation about what is possible.

He is not alone in his analysis of what could happen over Missouri on Tuesday. Ryan Hall and other internet weather experts are also onboard for explosive storm development with this system. While southern Missouri appears to be the most likely impact, the entire state needs to be paying attention as the warned areas continue to move further north the closer we get to next week.
