2 Men Report Strange Encounters in Garden of the Gods in Illinois
Garden of the Gods is arguably one of the most beautiful parts of Illinois. According to a report from two men, it's also a place where strange encounters happen including weird sounds, unexplained howls and bizarre rock throws from...something.
I came across this new episode of Bigfoot Society where they interviewed Jim Peters and Joe Jenkins. They were adventuring in Garden of the Gods in Illinois which is located in the extreme southern part of the state.
As the men were walking in that part of Illinois, they could hear something large walking in the trees. They knew it had to be massive in size because a regular human walking would never be audible from that far away.
They also had an encounter where they had something hurl huge rocks into a creek from above them.
"We started experiencing some things that were...a little out of the ordinary. We had one particular trip where we were walking in to our area...a bluff area where we like to camp...we could hear these footfalls on the top of this bluff to our left...they were very very loud and you could kind of feel them...it was something bipedal walking on top of the bluff".
The two men also claimed they experienced other odd phenomena in Garden of the Gods that they still can't explain to this day years later.
The Garden of the Gods wilderness area in Illinois is one of the most remote parts of the state where a creature could have a habitat yet remain totally hidden. Is there an undiscovered species that caused what these two Illinois guys experienced? Hopefully someday soon we'll get some solid evidence to back up what many already claim is true.
