I want to warn you ahead of time so you're not startled. There is a very good chance that you'll see something that hasn't been seen over Missouri for a long time. It's a 'mysterious ball of fire', but don't be alarmed. It's not the end of the world - yet.

I have to confess that I almost forgot this was possible. Skies over Missouri for the past week have been either one of two things. It's either been extremely rainy and/or foggy and cloudy. OK, so that's 3 things, but I digress.

The National Weather Service in St. Louis, Missouri predicted something extraordinary today for Monday, January 29, 2024. Mark your calendars. This will be an unusual event.

Yes, this rare event will be an appearance of the SUN. What joy there will be!

Yes, just a small (Editor's note: LARGE) amount of sarcasm, but the sun shall return (allegedly) to the skies over our heads. But, it gets even better. The rumors are that this ball of fire will bring with it possibly 60 degree temperatures in some parts of Missouri. I could be happy about this, but there's a part of me that wonders why the Missouri winter is kissing up to us now. What does it have planned for the rest of winter?

My dad used to tell me that if you don't like the Missouri weather, wait 10 minutes. In this case, it's just a few days to wait to see the glorious sun again. I cannot wait.
