Missouri’s Best Train Ride Named Most Charming – Have You Been?

I have a soft spot in my heart for trains. One of the highlights of my life was a narrow-gauge train trip I took decades ago. Did you know that a Missouri train ride has just been named the most charming and I'm curious if you've ever ridden it?

I realize that the golden age of train travel has come and gone - literally. But, that doesn't mean that great train adventures don't remain and there are probably more than you think possible in Missouri.

It wasn't that long ago that Only In Your State named 9 scenic train rides in Missouri and their top pic is a favorite for many - the Branson Scenic Railway.

The Branson Scenic Train is famous for its 5pm dinner excursions which happen between April and October, but there's also a Polar Express package happening now until December 23, 2024.

This is one of those experiences in Missouri I hope never goes away. It's expensive to maintain railroad cars and track. Let's hope the Branson Scenic Railway survives well into the future so the next generation can experience what many of us consider to be a must-do thing.
