Missouri’s 2nd Richest City for 2024 is Very France
Other than the Eiffel Tower, I think the only French things I've ever really appreciated are fries. Perhaps I should expand my horizons as the 2nd richest city in Missouri for 2024 is very France.
This is a very recent ranking of the ten richest cities in Missouri that was just shared days ago by Homesnacks. The fact that Ladue is #1 is not news as that's been the richest place in Missouri for as long as I can remember. #2 is new though and very interesting to me in a French kind of way.
Welcome to the land of the wealthy in Missouri to Frontenac. This hovel in Missouri's love of France goes all the way back to the 1700's as Wikipedia says "The community name is inspired by the New France governor Louis de Buade de Frontenac". It goes on to say that the couple that laid out the land in Frontenac have been to Quebec a lot.
Only 3,612 people call Frontenac, Missouri home, but they are doing OK for themselves according to the numbers shared. The Homesnacks article says the average income for someone living in Frontenac is almost exactly a quarter million dollars while homes there cost more than a million.
I'm used to seeing places like Town and Country in these richest cities lists for Missouri and it's there again at #3, but Frontenac is a new entry among the lifestyles of the rich and famous. Time to celebrate with some French fries.
