Missouri Family Battling Illness Wins Sweepstakes

I love sharing stories like this one. A Missouri woman who's family has faced recent health struggles just learned that she was the grand prize winner of a national sweepstakes and video showed the moment she found out.

Can I confess that I didn't realize that Publishers Clearing House was still a thing? Come to find out they very much are and just visited a Missouri woman named Brenda Wood to inform her that she was a big winner.

When the Publishers Clearing House host asked Brenda how she felt she said this:

"Stunned...it's come at a really good time...he's (her husband) has a lot of health issues...and there's a lot of things that (are) going on".

Since the internet has more or less taken over, I gave up magazine subscriptions. That's what I thought Publishers Clearing House still did which is why they have been off of my radar for years. After witnessing what just happened to Brenda Wood and her husband in Missouri, maybe I should rethink that strategy. Who couldn't use an extra $10,000 showing up on their doorstep? I love the fact that this family that really needs the help has had their prayers answered.
