You're about to see a change soon at Missouri Walmart stores. There are reports that new shopping carts are coming and some stores may already have them. They're meant to be more inclusive for families that need them.

I just saw this report from Progressive Grocer about these new shopping carts that Walmart has decided to deploy to many of their stores and Missouri is one of the states where they will be used.

What is an inclusive shopping cart anyway?

They're known as "Caroline's Carts" and they're especially helpful for families with children with disabilities.

The carts feature a seat that can hold a child between 35 and up to 250 pounds which is far beyond what a normal shopping cart seat could manage. For a parent of a special needs child, that could be extraordinarily helpful.

There are no timetables about when specific Missouri Walmart stores will be receiving these carts. The only word now is they are being rolled out as we speak (quite literally).

These carts will not completely replace the normal shopping carts most are used to, but will be an addition for those families that need it.

Once local Missouri Walmart stores confirm they have these carts available, I will update this story with new information. Perhaps this is the help that many Missouri parents need as we approach the holiday shopping season.
