5 Things Missouri Walmarts Won’t Let You Do Anymore with Coupons
I admire those who try to be frugal by using coupons when they shop. That is sadly below my patience level. However, if you have used coupons at Missouri Walmart stores in the past, you need to know that there are 5 common things that they used to allow that are no longer OK. Buyer beware.
If you're a coupon shopper, please don't get mad and shoot the messenger. In my defense, I warned everyone about this Missouri Walmart coupon policy change last October. I'm seeing people on my social media pages who are now angry about unsuccessful coupon attempts at Missouri Walmart stores, so I bring this back as a refresher.
Here are 5 key Missouri Walmart coupon policy changes that are now in effect according to a press release from the corporate Walmart website:
No more cash back on coupons
The press release says "Walmart does not give cash back nor will any overages apply to the remaining items in the transaction if the value of a coupon is greater than the purchase value of the item".
No more coupon overrides possible at register
If you're accustomed to the cashier giving you the benefit of the doubt on a coupon that doesn't scan right, there's nothing they're allowed to do now.
All coupons must be scannable
This is a part of the previous new policy change. If the coupon you have isn't scannable, it's not useable and it's not the cashier's fault.
There's a limit of 4 identical coupons per household
Thinking about overloading a transaction with a bunch of identical coupons. Now, you can't have more than 4.
No more mismatched coupons
All coupons must match the item you're buying exactly including "brand, size, quantity, color, flavor".
Just like I said last October, I am just passing along what Missouri Walmart stores are saying on their site. See it for more details and specifics.
