Missouri Residents Warned to Remove These Car Decals Immediately
I've heard it said that you can tell a lot about a person by the type of vehicle they drive. There's a new warning for Missouri residents about something many have on their car that might be saying too much and they need to be removed immediately.
I have seen so many of these vehicle stickers and never thought there was anything dangerous about it, but now I understand why police are now issuing warnings about why they need to be taken off vehicle windows ASAP.
This is one of the stickers that Missourians are being warned to remove. It's the innocent-looking family stick figures.
Just this sticker can let a stranger know that you have a non-guard dog pet and a daughter that possibly goes to soccer practice. Other stickers on vehicles that are dangerous are those that communicate that one of the spouses is in the military meaning they may be away from home often and some pet stickers also include the name of the animal which could allow a stranger to use that name when approaching a home.
The Secure Dad goes a step further warning those in Missouri that a college parking sticker may cue in a criminal to your whereabouts during school hours. He pointed out that stencils showing a child's name and the sport they play along with their uniform number might put them in terrible jeopardy, too.
I tend to be naive and give people the benefit of the doubt, but the information you have on the outside of your vehicle windows can lead to dangerous situations. Many think they're cute, but at what price?
