Unidentified Human Remains Just Found in this Missouri Lake Area
There's a new mystery in Missouri as human remains were just found in a beautiful lake area by authorities, but it is not known who was found or what the circumstances were around their death at this point.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol just shared news of an unsettling discovery made recently at the Rock Fork Lakes Conservation area. This lake is located just north of Columbia, Missouri in Boone County just off of Highway 63.
The unidentified human remains were found on March 22, 2025 and the Boone County Sheriff’s Office requested the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Division of Drug and Crime Control be a part of the investigation.
The remains have been taken to the Boone County, Missouri Medical Examiner's Office as they work to figure out who the remains are from and what the cause of death was.
