Missouri Truck Stop Suddenly Named Top 8 in Nation By Drivers

You know you're doing something right as a truck stop when drivers sing your praises. That just happened for a Missouri truck stop which has suddenly become one of the 8 most highly-rated in America.

One of the more prominent truck driving industry website, Trucker Path, released the top 100 truck stops in America list. There's a lot of data that gets crunched to decide what truck stops make this list and which ones don't.

It says they "gathered over 34 million in-app ratings and reviews over the past 12 months to determine the Top 100".

One of the top 8 truck stops on their list is a Missouri place (spoiler alert: it's NOT Buc-ee's)

The TA Ozarks #924 in Mt Vernon, Missouri named the 8th best truck stop in America. There's quite a combination of facilities in this Missouri place for truckers. Lots of parking and a diner likely didn't hurt their appeal to those who live over-the-road and behind-the-wheel.

One of the reasons why so many drivers have the Trucker Path app is it offers "truck stops, real-time parking availability, fuel prices, weigh station statuses, and truck scales and wash locations".

It will be interesting to see how this Missouri truck stop does in next year's top 100 list. I noticed that there are no Buc-ee's in the top 100 list. If you mention Buc-ee's to a truck driver, they'll tell you that's more of a convenience store and not a real truck stop, but the non-truck drivers likely think of places like that when they see these lists compiled.
