The Missouri Supreme Court is warning residents about 5 fake websites that are pretending they are official government sites, but instead transmit malware to anyone that visits them.

The Supreme Court of Missouri shared this unusual warning on their social media sites this week. It says there are 5 sites that are all variations of case.net.

Here are the 5 sites that the Missouri Supreme Court says are fraudulent and not legitimate government websites:

  • mo-casenet.us
  • casenetmo.net
  • mo-case.net
  • casenetmonet.website3.me
  • www-casenetmo.us

There is only one real Missouri government case website

The only legit Missouri case website is this one - https://www.courts.mo.gov/casenet. Any other site that includes "casenet" in its URL or name is not managed by the Missouri state government and are to be avoided. Many who have fallen for the fake case.net sites have had viruses and malware end up on their devices which increases the danger of identity theft or worse. All of your personal information and privacy are possibly in jeopardy if you've clicked on any of the fake case.net sites. If you believe you've been compromised or have concerns, you can contact the Missouri’s state courts administrator’s Help Desk toll-free at (888) 541-4894.
