Missouri Suddenly Under an Increasing Risk for Dangerous Hail
What initially looked like an incoming wave of relatively harmless rain showers has now become an increasing risk of dangerous hail in Missouri.
The NOAA Storm Prediction Center just updated their convective outlook and with it a number of warnings about what could be a significant hail event for nearly all of Missouri.
You should pay special attention to this NOAA Storm Prediction Center advisory if you live in or near Springfield or Joplin, Missouri.
This video shows the incredible amount of hail that fell near Lake St. Louis, Missouri just a few days ago on March 15, 2025.
My understanding is that the potential hail is expected to be in storms that are expected to impact Missouri starting either late Saturday afternoon or during the evening hours. Some strong thunderstorms could include tornadoes in some parts of Missouri, but the main danger you should expect is hail.
