Missouri Woman Thought She Saw a Star—Then It Started Moving
When is a star not really a star? Answer-when it's a stationary bright light in the sky that suddenly starts moving which is what a Missouri woman claims she just witnessed.
The National UFO Reporting Center site says this odd encounter over Missouri happened on October 9, 2025
According to the eyewitness testimony on the NUFORC site, a woman near Cardwell, Missouri saw what she thought was a star in the sky the night of October 9, 2025, but then it started moving. Here is a snippet of her exact words on what she witnessed:
"Thought it was a star until it moved. It kept going up from the horizon to the same spot. No flashing lights. Made weird turns...So my boyfriend and I were out riding gravel roads. We saw what we thought was a star on the horizon but it got brighter...After maybe thirty or so minutes...two more came into view. Both crossing its path. One went up and stayed under the first object, the second went up but then made a sharp turn."
She said the lights were red and white in color and seemed to be large and perhaps up to 100 miles away on the horizon. The objects seemed to interact with each other with one moving under another and then moving away. The encounter lasted at least an hour based on the report before all 3 disappeared. Cardwell, Missouri is in the extreme southern part of the Missouri bootheel and is not near any major airports or military bases. There are no known natural explanations as to what she and her boyfriend saw on the horizon. By definition, that means they both saw UFO's.
