Missouri Lake Named 1 of the Most Picturesque in North America

For once, I completely agree with the internet on something. A Missouri lake has just been named one of the most picturesque in North America and that's not wrong.

You would think that if there were any website in the world that would be qualified to declare a lake one of the most picturesque, it would be a website called Lake which is what this one is. Their methodology for deciding which lakes in North America were the most picturesque isn't just some writer's opinion, but it's the actual count of hashtags used on Instagram which is a great measure for how pretty a place is.

The Missouri lake with a staggering 355,529 Instagram hashtags is none other than Lake of the Ozarks and it sure is pretty.

Most of the very few vacations I've taken in my life have been near or at Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri. The truth is we haven't been there for years as it's become a big-time party lake, but that doesn't detract from its beauty.

I am not surprised at all that so many on Instagram are sharing pictures from Lake of the Ozarks and using the hashtag to track it. The fact that it's ranked as the 13th most picturesque in North America is something that Missouri should be proud of.
