One of Missouri's most popular lakes which has garnered a reputation as one of America's most dangerous has just claimed another life as a drowning has now been reported by authorities.

KZRG is reporting that the Missouri Highway Patrol has confirmed that James Roy, a 56-year-old Kansas City, Missouri man drowned Sunday morning, July 2, 2023. The report indicates the drowning happened near Bollinger Creek Cove which would be in this area of Lake of the Ozarks.

The drowning happened at approximately 11am after James Roy went underwater and did not resurface. There are no other details provided.
