More than 70,000 in Missouri & Illinois are Still Without Power
Winter storm Blair really packed a punch and many in Missouri and Illinois are still dealing with the aftermath as more than 70,000 residents are still without power.
If you look at the National Power Outage map, you'll see Missouri and Illinois along with some states in the Ohio Valley are without power still.
Here are the exact numbers as of the time of this writing:
- Illinois - 38,050
- Missouri - 33,577
It appears the part of Missouri and Illinois hit the hardest by winter storm Blair is the I-70 corridor as St. Louis travel is still very tricky as of early Monday morning.
The Illinois Department of Transportation is showing as of now that many roads and ramps are closed across the state.
The combination of ice and wind are to blame for most of the Missouri and Illinois power outages that are ongoing. Utility crews are working to try and restore power as quickly as possible, but this is a challenge with the snow that still covers many main roads.
