Missouri Has Nearly 300 Locations of America’s Worst Coffee Brand

For the record, my wife does not agree with this conclusion and I'm not certain that I do either. The brand that was just named the worst coffee chain in America has nearly 300 locations in Missouri.

What qualities would make you consider a national brand to be a coffee chain? That's an important question because a ranking shared by TMCA Conseil defines that differently than I would. They named what they consider to be the 7 worst coffee chains in America and #1 is a curious choice.

Answer - McDonald's

CSUN says there are currently 299 McDonald's restaurants in Missouri.

Now back to my original point of contention. When I think of coffee brands, Starbucks and Dutch Bros are two that come to mind. I could rattle off another dozen, too. For one of those to top a list like this would be a deal killer for them since coffee is what they do and nearly all that they do.

When I think of McDonald's, I think of burgers, fries and shakes. Not once can I remember having a coffee there. My wife has, though, and liked it for what that's worth.

I am not an apologist for McDonald's, but I think dinging them just for coffee is forgetting what that brand is really about.
