This certainly came with very little warning. There are multiple reports of many Hardee's locations in Missouri that have either suddenly closed their doors or are about to.

I just saw this share by Lebanon (Missouri) Now on their Facebook page. It's confirmation that a Hardee's location there will be closing this Saturday.

I have been able to confirm through at least two other sources that some Missouri Hardee's locations really are closing. Restaurant Business Online shared a story in the past few days about Hardee's filing a lawsuit against franchisee ARC Burger which owns 77 restaurants. The lawsuit alleges that the franchisee owes more than $6.5 million in unpaid royalties plus rent for 28 locations.

The Street also reported that Hardee's locations in Missouri either had already closed or were closing by the end of December 2025. They added there were also Hardee's restaurants in North Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa, Illinois, and Pennsylvania that were facing the same fate.

But wait, it gets even weirder. Inside Edition reporting that all the employees in a Blue Springs, Missouri Hardee's left the restaurant empty just a few days ago.

I don't know about you, but Hardee's was one of those brands that I grew up with. The Missouri town I was born and raised in had 3 locations during my younger years. It would be a shame if their presence in Missouri was greatly lessened by what's happening.

I am not aware of any more specific Missouri locations other than the one in Lebanon that was mentioned above, but will update this once new information is learned about what Hardee's will be closing their doors forever.
