FBI, Missouri Cops Just Confiscated 60 Illegal Guns
There's a new coordinated effort with the FBI and Missouri police that has resulted in the confiscation of 60 illegal guns that are no longer on the streets.
I saw this interesting update shared by the FBI in St. Louis, Missouri on their Facebook page. They shared this graphic showing some of the many weapons they've just recovered while investigating carjackings during traffic stops.
The FBI Special Agent in Charge Chris Crocker said that this is part of a concerted effort to crack down on violent crime especially in the St. Louis, Missouri metro area.
This seems to be a more focused effort to combine the firepower of federal agents armed with local information from Missouri police departments to try and make a dent in crime rates. Just a few days ago, the United States Attorney General's Office in the Eastern District of Missouri shared word that a St. Louis drug trafficker connected to nine murders had been sentenced to two life sentences. They also reported on two individuals in the St. Louis area who had been convicted of laundering drug proceeds on behalf of a drug cartel. Five Romanians were also captured and admitted to bank fraud using ATM skimming devices. That's quite a flurry of federal crackdowns on crime in Missouri and hopefully the beginning of ridding the streets of the most violent offenders.
