Missouri Dog Walker Sees Light Zoom Across Sky, Then Turn
It's a fairly common thing to take your dog for a walk at night and admire the night sky. That was the intention of one Missouri recently, but what they saw in the sky wasn't typical. It was a light that zoomed across in front of them only to turn around and do multiple 180 degree turns.
The newest report from the National UFO Reporting Center comes from a tiny town called Roach, Missouri. According to the official report, this took place the night of January 12, 2026 at approximately 8:28pm. Here's a snippet of their exact words from the eyewitness testimony:
"I let my dog out 5 minutes or so before sighting. When I went to whistle from her from my front door which faces east a white orb zoomed at ridiculous speed into my view of the northeast sky. It turned around almost exactly 180° and went back a bit, turned around again 180° almost to the location it had reached initially before turning back around and zooming out of my field of view to the location it came from."
They went on to describe how they saw the light come from the direction of Whiteman Air Force Base and they called a friend to tell them what they witnessed. My immediate thought was that they saw some type of Air Force aircraft, but Roach, Missouri is more than an hour and a half from Whiteman Air Force Base.
That doesn't mean we can't rule out an aircraft from Whiteman, but are you familiar with any aircraft that can move like that? By definition, this person witnessed a UFO. What that might really be is anyone's guess.
