Missouri Settles Into Cooler Weather, Experts Confirm
If you've had enough of the heat, you may be in for a real treat. There is evidence mounting that the incoming cool weather expected to start impacting Missouri soon will be here to stay.
Let's start with what the National Weather Service in St. Louis is saying
They're predicting milder temperatures starting this weekend and by the middle of next week, it will be downright awesome with highs only in the low 70's.
I saw a statement on the NWS site yesterday expressing increasing confidence that this cooldown will be long-lasting and they are not alone in that belief. Today, I saw an update from meteorologist Travis Roberts on YouTube who shared computer models which show an almost constant cooldown over the next two weeks. This is what Monday, August 25, 2025 looks like. The bluer areas signify cooler than average temperatures.
Moving ahead a few days and you see that Missouri remains cooler than normal. This is Wednesday, August 27, 2025.
On into September, the cooling trend continues as Missouri does not see heat returning. This is what Tuesday, September 2, 2025 looks like.
Finally, this model shows Thursday, September 4 will maintain cooler temperatures.
There is a real possibility that Missouri has seen the last of 90 degree temperatures for this year. As a man who has paid some outrageous utility bills this summer, that would be a welcome relief.
