A pinning ceremony was recently held in Mendon, Illinois for the first Unity High School students to earn a certified nursing assistant credential through a partnership with John Wood Community College. The new CNAs were all hired by North Adams Home in Mendon. John Wood Community College recently honored the first Unity High School class of certified nursing assistants (CNA) from JWCC during a pinning at North Adams Home in Mendon. Five students received their CNA pins presented by Denise Kaiser, CNA instructor. The students honored were Jordan Howell of Loraine, Abbygail Palmer and Kiersten Pratt of Ursa, and Sabrina Beck and Elizabeth Freeman of Mendon.

CNAs provide personal assistance with a wide array of daily activities and also strive to meet the physical, emotional and social needs of those for whom they care every day.
