According to Sheriff David Parrish, deputies were on patrol in La Belle March 3 when they pulled over a pickup truck with a defective headlight and taillight.

While deputies were making the traffic stop, they observed what appeared to be a drug transaction in progress nearby.

An investigation led to the arrest of 21 year old Logan Miller of Knox City.

Miller is alleged to have sold Xanax pills to a juvenile and was found in possession of a .223 caliber AR rifle and a semi-automatic handgun.

Miller was charged with three felonies -  possession of methamphetamine, delivery of a controlled substance to a person under 17, possession of a weapon and possession of a controlled substance.

Charges were filed by Assistant Prosecutor Chelsea Fellinger. Judge Thomas Redington issued the warrants.

Miller is in the Lewis County Jail on $25,000 cash only bond.
