Based on a recent filing, it appears a major Missouri health and medical company will be laying off more than 450 workers beginning at the start of 2025. They also happen to be the stadium sponsor for the Kansas City Chiefs.

The state of Missouri's jobs site shows a WARN notice that reveals major layoffs beginning on January 1, 2025 and continuing through March 24, 2025. The alert shows that 453 will be laid off at the GEHA Health and Medical Insurance company located in Lee's Summit, Missouri.

I saw this big layoff in the Kansas City area also mentioned on Reddit. The Kansas City Business Journal says that GEHA is moving the work from those workers to a third-party administrator.

Many are mentioning how it's hard to understand the layoffs considering that GEHA is the stadium sponsor for the Kansas City Chiefs.

In a year full of layoffs and business closings, it appears the next one will start in a similar fashion unfortunately with many Missouri residents back to looking for a job.
