A company in Kansas City, Missouri has alerted the state of a mass layoff that will impact 104 workers after a major contract loss. The expectation is that the layoffs will begin in March.

I received an alert from the Missouri Jobs site this morning in regards to a mass layoff of 104 workers from TelaForce LLC located at 2300 Main Street in Kansas City, Missouri.

The state of Missouri shared the WARN notice that was submitted by the human resources of TelaForce revealing why this mass layoff is necessary.  The notice said that it will be "ceasing its operations" due to a loss of contract with a government agency. It added this detail:

"A total of 104 employees are affected by the Operating Unit Closure on March 20, 2026...These separations are planned to be permanent."

According to the parent company's website, TelaForce LLC "managed IT Services, AI/ML Analytics, systems integration, cloud solutions, and contact center support". Many of the jobs eliminated were interviewer positions based on the description in the WARN notice received by the state of Missouri. Let's hope these workers who are about to be let go end up in better situations. The new year is challenging enough without having to deal with the loss of a job.
