JWCC Hosts Danville Tonight in Region 24 Opener

Tonight is a big night for the John Wood Community College Trailblazers men's basketball team as they play 6th seeded Danville Community College in the National Junior College Athletic Association's Region 24 Quarter-Final game.  Game time tonight is 7 p.m. with seats still available at the J.W.C.C. Student Activity Center on the campus at 48th and Harrison in Quincy. Hopefully, the place will be packed with Trailblazer fans. During the game there will be plenty of "Blazer Gear" giveaways and someone tonight is also going to win $2,500 toward tuition for a fall 2019 returning student or a prospective student.

If the #3 seed John Wood Trailblazers win tonight, they will travel to Illinois Central College in Peoria on Saturday and meet Rend Lake, the number 2 seed in the region, at 3 p.m. The top seed in the Region belongs to Parkland College.

The hope is that Coach Brad Hoyt's Trailblazers can make it all the way to the national championship game to be played this year in Danville, Illinois on March 19 through 23.
