40-year-old Adam Spencer was caught and arrested by officers in Sutton-in-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire, after spotting him and recognizing he was a suspect on Tuesday.

He admitted to officers what he had done, and was charged with two counts of burglary and three counts of theft.

Spencer was given a six-month prison sentence, suspended for a year, in the Nottingham Magistrates' Court on Wednesday.

Police said the series of thefts happening in the area began April 11th, at Tesco, then again at Asda on April 17th.

On May 2nd, Spencer broke through the back door of Iceland, before stealing meat products.

He then returned two hours later and stole more than £300 of stock. He returned to the store for a second theft on May 19th.

During one of those thefts, Spencer helped himself to 17 tubs of Pringles, police said, and he later told police when they asked why, "Once you pop, you can't stop." A nod to the snack's famous advertising slogan.

He pled guilty to all counts in court on Wednesday.

In addition to Spencer's sentence, he was ordered to pay £200 in compensation and complete a six-month drug rehab program.
